Route 2
  Vilaplana-L'Albiol-La Mussara-Mont-ral-Farena - (on foot).

This route may start from either Albiol or Vilaplana. If you start from Albiol, leave the town from the road behind the church and follow the asphalted road until you find the GR 65-5, which you will follow for the remainder of the route until you reach La Mussara. Once you pass the Collet de la Creu, leave the path and follow the GR, on your left, as you hike up the slope until you get to the Barranc de la Cova Llonga. On the way there, you will pass by the Font del Gravet. Further on, you will find the Font del Mas d’en Grau. Pass by another path, and after some meters you will cross the road that goes to Mont-ral. Continue up the road, following the well-marked and steep path where you will see the “Els Motllats” sign, and head towards La Mussara. At your right you will find the GR-7, where this path joins with the path that starts at Vilaplana. If you start from Vilaplana, take the road that leads to the Font de les Creus, where you will find the sign that marks the beginning of the route. The first part is a carriage road, and further down you will find a “T” cross, where you will turn to the right. This path crosses the Les Tosques river. Follow the PR signs. This is a steep road. You will pass by the shelter, and then you will arrive to the GR-172, that goes parallel to the road. If you take a left, you will see the abandoned town, with amazing views of the Camp. The right path will take you to Mont-ral; if you follow it, you will arrive to the same GR that leads to the GR-7. You have to take the left and once you reach this crossing, make a right towards Mont-ral. From this point on, the route will be the same for both options.

To your left, you will see the peak Cantacorbs; if you want to stop for a while and see the Puig Pelat, take the path that you will find at your left, through the Bosc de Vicent, and down a winding road. A few metres down the path you will find the Font dels Grèvols and the ravine de la Font Fresca. Croos the ravine and go up the GR again. To your left you can see the Punta de Barrina, and further down the road, you will arrive to the Mas del Cisterer, and then the little town of l’Aixàviga. Keep on the GR, cross the Barranc de la Fou and the Bosquet. When you arrive to Mont-ral, do not miss the Musté Recansens shelter, which belongs to the Centre de Lectura de Reus, and the enigmatic church on the top of the hill. From this point on, follow the PR-C 20, which will take you to Farena, and passes by the Cadeneta, another small town that is part of Mont-ral.
