It is a municipality located between the mountains of Prades and els Motllats, covers an extension of 13.27 km2 and has a population of 127. The urban center, located at the summit of a small hill is composed of old houses, most of them restored and used as holiday houses.
The main revenue of the municipality, after the agricultural crisis of the 1980s and the gradual ageing of the original population, is based on the truffles trade and tourism.

Only 2 km away from the village, it has one nave, and dates back to the XII century
Parish Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption.
This temple, which was built in baroque style, dates back to the XVIII century.
